John E Wordslingers’ The Asylum Cook And the Weather Woman is an outstanding screenplay #IX, giving an equal depth of life to all characters including the central characters, Brindley & Laurie : a young couple who represents the struggling beings of modern days. The variety of thoughts here is eclectic. This book allegorically shows how life is the weather itself and how we don’t need to be at an insane asylum to become crazy by walking over the thin thread of our sanity, just a windy storm of everyday life is enough… Here, the life of Laurie with her tears of joy wishing to hold her baby daughter brings ‘Faith’ of living in hope to all of us. Author Wordslinger’s wonderful depiction truthfully presents us that there is darkness all around us, but there is also an exit made of light to escape the dark. Indeed the moment of illumination in the end invites the audience to stay positive in any kind of social approach in today’s world. _ Munia Khan…

“EXECUTION DOCK #VII by John E. WordSlinger is an arresting screenplay, very poetically written, which requires an audience to make moral judgments. The scenes in the story will remind us of a mixed theatricality of Shakespearean and Roman tragedy. Here the ambiguity of today’s world takes a psychological approach to the readers through the truthful reactions of characters. In this book, harrowing pictures of the dagger of darkness run through pages with rhythmic metaphorical movement; and Devil, Priest, Serpents, Dwarfs, Mermaids, Giants, Judge, Snails, Soldier, Knight, Bones and Humans all gather to create sequence of thoughtful events that leads us to an obvious answer where only interpretation from an honest heart belongs. The author’s poetical expertise emphasizes on our social diseases based on political, racial and theological eczema. Does devil win or is it the innocence of our souls: the ultimate winner? Inside our mind this amazing book will disinter it all.” _Munia Khan…

LOULIAS’ BUNKER #V screenplay (Also book of Poetry) by John E. WordSlinger “When darkness coaxes the world to believe the lies, when terror’s breathlessness becomes an ally to the smoke-filled sky, then nothing else but the verses of bravery can relentlessly fight for the truth to let our world breathe again. Loulias’ Bunker written by John E. WordSlinger is such a collection of versified stories where each page has been consecrated by the blood stained ink from the heart of a patriotic poet. Poems here are the voices of historical time and reality reverberating through the slogans of humanity. Here as the lines grow stronger and stronger signifying the recurrence of hopeful harmony, the symbolic adventures of poetic diction lay in the fusion of revolutionary ideals and dreams. This book will let the readers realize how the heat of weapons needs to be subsided by the warmth of tears and how the somnolent rectitude of today’s world should be wide awakened by morality’s grace. Indeed, it’s time to store the fuel for Loulias’ Bunker!” _Munia Khan…

POETRY/
A RAINDROP TO THE JUMPING WOLF SPIDER
A picture of five sisters, and a Mickey
Mouse watch was placed in a corner slot of an eave.
The house was built a long time ago by a family man
so this must have been the 1930’s.
I felt, heard, and tasted a raindrop.
The sound of forever. I hope to always remember.
Beauty in time is appreciated. I finally was washed
and cleansed. Real and beautiful. I was tired, but
there was something from this event. Something
very deep. One of the men played with the sun,
as if little fire sparked in his hands.
There was another man, and he was looking
at the picture in amazement. The both of them
were just sitting there on the porch, and
I was in awe. The sky was there, and I some how
gained the nerve to scope all of them out.
I had to see the thieves. I didn’t know if I should
play dead. I was devastated. Just devastated.
The watch with the mouse on it, and the picture
was my families honor, but these invaders took
those items. I felt defeated, I felt shame. I thought
I was lost. Gone, all gone, but I finally grasped
my surrounding, relaxed from shock. It was from
the darkness of peace, when they placed the wood
back over my home. When the men returned
with their clashing, I don’t know, but I felt peace,
and angry all at the same time. My little ears could
never dream of something so pleasant that fell
near me. I have never seen, or heard anything
like it before. I could see light even with my eyes
closed with fear. A life less spider I was, silent.
Compulsed into silence. I was deaf. The man-giants
deafened me. The echo forever rings. The tones
of destruction sung. Bang bang, bing bing.
Scrape and tung, whisk and whask, over and over.
The surface that kept the foundation from washing
away from the rain was tore away piece by piece.
Men with furious force. Loudness crashed the gutters
below. This day was different, and all I thought
about was my duty. For generations, we held guard
of those relics. I believe that watch, a time sequencer,
and that picture of those five girls I awoke to every
morning will be always missed, and never the same
shall I be. Tales as far back as any of my ancestors
can remember about those five sisters, have been told
so many times that they have changed, many different
versions. So I believed I was safe from everything.
The peace and happiness way up high, near the sun
in this homes eave. I remember learning web wisdom,
and finally mastering it, altogether it lead to my post.
Many days ago have separated us. I do remember
the shaken ground, but those moments are silent now.
Concrete to me are man lands clashing with time
turning into canyons. But today I have no duties.
Now all I have is time to jump, and play, and to hope,
to not get washed away, or crushed, but only to be
splashed by a rain drop. I feel free, but I’ll always
be captured by those little girls faces, and tales.

The Slingtionarious Wictionary is a book of designed words along with definitions and poems with the sketched words by the Poet John E. WordSlinger. When I first ‘met’ John E. O’Hara in the summer of 2010, I had just started uploading my first poetry videos onto to Youtube. He wrote me to ask if he could place some in a playlist on his Channel for a group he founded, the ‘Poetry Train’. From the very first time I talked with John aka WordSlinger I was intrigued by his use of words. Absolutely a Gentleman speaking in a courtly manner, he also spoke with a kind of poetic shorthand where words moved around on a sentence and paragraph that could catch you by surprise, sometimes witty, sometimes inspired, some strange, but strangely and definitely his own. As I was to learn, there was a lot about John’s world that was decidedly his own, especially his vision of poetry, poets and the very future of its art.
John writes:
“o path, pathos i have seen, spiked not a dream
and beauty today gets more and more mean
lets remove the masks, rip them off if needed
show power, offend as beauty offends, to see
to be is to not be at all, withering on a loved ones lap”
– excerpt, ‘Timeless Beauty’
‘ My Human Leakage Test’
At the core of it all, John is sure about himself, his words, his love of them, and the words of others. With a decidedly Mid-western ethos, John works tirelessly at his craft and art. It isn’t useless effort or just an reflection of the life around him, it is about making every word he writes Stand on their own two legs: true content in a world where beautiful lan-guage can cover and hide the cliches and lack of meaning. Followed quick on the heels of his two previous releases, ‘Theater of Thunder’ and ‘My Human Leakage Test’ this third volume is a collection of poems with a bent of play-fullness intermingled with his always organ-ized work of storytelling flow. This book was fun to read, and delve further into the inner world of John WordSlinger, the conductor, sheriff and *Rick Grimes of our collective open poetry group known as the “Poetry Train’, where he invites the well-versed, the experimental and new practitioners of the art of Poetry to join him, and the rest of the group, on a personal quest of raising our poetic voices. I leave you to enjoy this book. It is the sum of John’s smile, wry humor and yet clear voice telling us his story. Don’t rush through it. Maybe, like myself, you have wanted to experiment a bit more. This is the book to Inspire one to further the adventure for yourself.
“Like all the promises i tried to keep
They turned into a frog and leaped
A 69 kiss, Oh my, am i deep
I’ve turned into a log and i dreeft”
Dreeft, p. 107
I want to personally thank you, John E. O’ Hara, for being a constant in my creative world these past six years. I hope it is for many more. To a friend, mentor, and colleague; Thank You. _Dana Zoe Gest
